The School of Ministry

About The School of Ministry

In 1924, the great intercessor Rees Howells was called by God to establish a training college in Wales that would prepare men and women to declare the good news of the kingdom of God across the world. His vision was to equip them to reach every nation with the gospel and so the Bible College of Wales became a significant hub for international mission and ministry.

Many significant preachers and ministries were formed in that school. One of whom is the evangelist Reinhard Bonnke  who would transform many parts of Africa through his preaching and mission work. Other men and women trained at the Bible College of Wales also faithfully served in many nations of the world as they preached the gospel and worked to build the church and extend the kingdom of God. With the investments made in its restoration and re-opening, The Bible College of Wales can again become a major apostolic centre and be a blessing to the churches in Wales, the United Kindgom and beyond. In keeping with the founding values of the college, we pray that out of these gates God will again raise men and women whose ministries will make an impact in the world and shake the nations with the gospel.

Our Vision

Based at the Bible College of Wales, the School of Ministry programme will help to equip students as they pursue their calling to establish the Kingdom of God in the nations.

Our vision is that through this programme:

  • The School of Ministry will provide inspirational teaching that will ignite hearts by the Spirit of God to reach the mission fields that are already ‘ripe for harvest’ (John 4: 35).
  • We will impart to you through the ministry of teaching and preaching many vital truths necessary for the restoration of the church and for the effective evangelism of the world.
  • You will understand more fully your personal areas of ministry and further develop your relationship with the Lord.
  • Our students will be equipped to return to their local church and serve in areas of ministry that need committed and trained personnel.
  • We will honour the legacy and work of Rees Howells by continuing to train and prepare students who can impact nations and make history through their service in the kingdom of God

asic-2016-2020The Bible College of Wales’s UK campus is accredited by Accreditation Service for International Colleges (ASIC) which is an independent body providing accreditation services for independent, further and higher education colleges. ASIC accreditation helps students and parents make a more informed choice and will also help a school, college, university, training provider or distance education provider, demonstrate to the international student body that they are a high quality institution.
