Bless Wales 2020

The Organiser's Note

About 10 weeks before we inaugurated the Bible College of Wales in May 2015, we made a startling discovery. We discovered that right in the heart of the grounds of the Bible College was a well. For over 50 years, this well was hidden from the eyes of men. Thick foliage and dense shrubbery had obscured it from public view and up till recently, very few knew of its existence. Our groundsman, cutting through a swath of foliage, stumbled upon this hidden treasure one day and when the well was rediscovered, it sparked a stirring in my spirit that I believe is a prophetic sign of what is coming.

There was a time when the nation of Wales was a preeminent well and a mighty river. Life, revelations, teachings, intercessions, and missionaries all flowed out from her into the nations. People all over the world, including well-known personalities and leaders flocked to Wales to meet with God. In the first three months of the 1904 revival, it was estimated that over 100,000 people gave their lives to Jesus. The nation of Wales was in the throes of revival and the whole world was watching. Newspapers were reporting daily about what was happening in the revival and normal life was disrupted because God showed up.

No other nation on the planet has seen more revivals that the Welsh people, maybe with the exception of Israel.

But over the last century, this amazing life-spring became clogged. Competition, sectarianism, infighting, a lack of vision, a lack of faith, and a lack of leadership took a toll on this bubbling spring of revival and soon, the flow of life all but came to a grinding halt. But God’s plans are not going to be thwarted. Wales is undoubtedly the nation of revivals. It has been called the Land of Periodic Revivals. No other nation on the planet has seen more revivals that the Welsh people, maybe with the exception of Israel. That God is now stirring the Welsh people to cry out for revival is a beautiful thing, and I have no doubts that we are at the cusp of another great wave of the Spirit.

In 2019, we held our first ‘BLESS WALES Conference’ and it turned out to be a watershed event. It was amazing, it was successful and it made a huge impact in the lives of the people that came. Since that time, we have been receiving numerous inquiries about when the next BLESS WALES event was going to be, and we are now glad to announce that from 22-24 April 2020, in the Brangwyn Hall, Swansea, we will be having Dutch Sheets, Ben Fitzgerald, Suzette Hattingh, and Dr. Sam Matthews as guest speakers at BLESS WALES 2020.

The indomitable Reinhard Bonnke was supposed to join us as well, but his passing on 7 December 2019 came as a shock to all of us. He so wanted to be with us, seeing that the Bible College of Wales was his alma mater. He often told me stories of the college and what God taught him in those early formative years. I believe that whilst he won’t be with us physically, he will be with us in spirit. And that cloud of witnesses will cheer us on as we press in for another great awakening.

It wasn’t that one group didn’t have oil, but they weren’t expecting such a long delay for they all slept.

Wales is coming alive, so help us fan the fires of this great land of the Holy Spirit. May the fires of revival burn once again, as it did in the days of Evans Roberts. Do it again, Lord!
